African Entrepreneurial Retreat 2017

What is Expedology’s African Entrepreneurial Retreat?

Many entrepreneurs, businessmen and business owners work from the comfort of their home offices. While teambuilding still exists in the corporate world, there are not many outings or getaways where independent business owners can connect with like minds while checking off a bucket list item. Expedology’s African Entrepreneurial Retreat provides these entrepreneurs with a truly unique setting to network, connect with others and experience a once in a lifetime trip. An African Safari is consistently rated as a must do bucket list item. Relationships and friendships forged in unusual settings tend to connect participants even more, we have found that the African safari setting does just that.

Expedology Safaris has created an awesome retreat where you get to meet liked minded individuals in a truly unique setting. Many of you probably attend business conferences throughout the year. A common theme at many of these conferences was that entrepreneurs just love to travel. However, another common theme was that many of us travel alone and only to other conferences.

If any of you have an African Safari as one of your bucket list trips, then you do not want to miss out on this. We have put together a custom 7 day safari in Tanzania that will put you smack in the middle of the Serengeti, literally swimming with elephants.

On this 7 day African Safari Entrepreneurial Retreat, we will visit the world famous Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. We will see countless elephants, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes and impala. We will also see, of course, the awesome lion. If we are lucky we may even see a cheetah stalk its prey, or a pack of hyenas fighting over a meal.

We will be staying in rustic, large tented camps and traditional lodges. The tented camped will be situated right in the middle of where the action is. It is very common to get four legged visitors at night. We will be spending one afternoon and overnight at the Four Seasons which is a 5 star resort built right in the middle of the Serengeti.

What is the lodging like? Are we camping?

To ensure the best possible experience, we have hand chosen specific lodging which will enhance your safari experience. We have chosen traditional hotels, rustic tented camps and five star accommodations. All lodging includes a full bed mattress, running water, toilet and showers. So no, there is no camping in the sense that you are used to.

You will spend 3 nights in tented camps. The tented camps are the most primitive of accommodations, but their location will more than make up for them. With tented camps, you are staying inside the national parks with no fencing between you and the animals. But don’t worry, there are guards that patrol the area at night.

You will spend 2 nights in traditional hotel like lodging. One night will be at the Four Seasons, which is a 5 star resort located inside the Serengeti. The other night is at Arumeru River Lodge which is where you will stay the first night before we begin your safari.

You will spend 1 night in a stone bungalow, also located within a national park.

To be clear, you will get a twin or full sized bed each night. There will be running water, showers and toilets each night. Power is generally turned off after 10 pm and back on again at 6am.

Can I bring my wife/husband or significant other?

Sure, we realize that an African Safari is something to be experienced with love ones. Partners are always welcome and encouraged.

Can I bring my son/daughter?

As this is primarily a business based retreat, we do not recommend bringing children under the age of 18.

Can you arrange international flights?

At the moment, we do not arrange airfare for participants. However, we would be happy to help you select the proper flights.

How many people can join this safari retreat?

Our retreats are limited to 20 persons.

Is there wi-fi internet?

Wi-fi is available at most of our lodging. With the nights at tented camps, internet is not 100% reliable and tends to be slow and only capable for checking email. We recommend that you prepare to go 24-48 hours without email access.
