Arrive in Reykjavik, pickup from airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Reykyjavik, at Fosshotel Lind.
Introductions and welcome presentation.
Most flights from the USA will arrive very early in the morning. We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the entire day and night to explore the city of Reykjavik.
Today we visit the Golden Circle. The Golden Circle consists of 3 must see classics of Iceland. First we visit Thingvellir National Park where two continental plates are actually drifting apart each year.
Then we will see Stokkur geyser.
And finally Gullfoss Waterfall.
Overnight will be at the Fosshotel Hekla.
Today we visit the southern coast of Iceland and see some truly stunning scenery.
We will visit and hike behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
See and hike halfway up Skógafoss waterfall.
Visit Reynisfjara beach and see its incredible basalt columns and black sand.
In the afternoon we will hike onto Sólheimajökull glacier and get an introductory course in ice climbing.
Overnight at Hrifunes Guesthouse.
Today we visit Skaftafell National Park and Jökulsárlón Lagoon
We will hike to see Svartifoss Waterfall.
And visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and do a car/boat tour
Overnight at Hrifunes Guesthouse.
Today we visit the Landmannalaugar Highlands in our Super Jeep. We will hike and take a dip in a geothermal hot springs and see many colorful volcanic mountains.
Overnight in Hella at Stracta Hotel.
We head to Thorsmork and continue to go off-roading in our Super Jeep. We will visit Nauthúsagil canyon.
And Gígjökull glacier.
Overnight in Reykjavik at Centerhotel Arnarhvoll.
Today we are heading into a volcano! This tour includes a short hike up a volcano and a short ride down it. Hope nobody is afraid of heights!
Then we finish the day off spending a night at the Silica Hotel in the Blue Lagoon relaxing in its thermal pools.

In the morning, we get transferred to the airport for our departure.

What type of transportation will we have?
If you are like us, you hate being cramped in a bus for a two hour ride. This is why our tour is being transported in a 17 person Mercedes Sprinter Super Jeep. However, we are limiting our group to 12 persons. So there will be plenty of room to stretch your feet.
What Should I Wear?
The temperature range will varying greatly from day to day depending on where we are. Bring clothing adequate for fall and winter weather. We will walking outdoors everyday, so wear comfortable hiking clothing and it is better to bring many layers. Remember to bring good gloves!
Is the Ice Climbing Difficult?
The ice climbing activity is an introduction to ice climbing. No prior experience is required. It takes place on a very gradual ice wall and you will only climb up 10-15 feet. We are not scaling frozen waterfalls.
What about the hike to the Volcano?
There is about a 2 mile hike to get to the volcano opening. Once there, we will descend into the volcano about 400 feet in an open cable lift. It may not be for people who are afraid of heights.
Can I bring my wife/husband or significant other?
Sure, we realize this trip something to be experienced with love ones. Partners are always welcome and encouraged.
Can I bring my son/daughter?
As this is primarily a business based retreat, we do not allow children under the age of 18.
Is there wi-fi internet?
Wi-fi is available at most of our lodging. Some nights the internet is not 100% reliable and tends to be slow and only capable for checking email. We recommend that you prepare to go 24-48 hours without internet.
